Pros

  • I worked here for under a year, and the working circumstances were excellent. There’s great synergy in the teams and the great HR team often hosts fun and informative events, to keep this synergy
  • The main one being in sales is the market opportunity with the CDP space set to triple in size over the next few years. Whats more with the deprecation of 3rd party cookies driving this, Relay42 is perfectly positioned to solve clients’ challenges with its strength helping brands orchestrate customer journeys across channels from paid to email, app, SMS etc through leveraging 1st and 2nd party data To add to this, the team are all highly intelligent, driven and good people
  • The CDP space is blowing up and Relay42 is perfectly poised to capitalise especially given strength in customer journey orchestration across paid and marketing channels (email, web, app, sms etc) Adding to this it is a great team, all highly intelligent driven and importantly nice people
  • Relay42 is a great place to work, where you will experience a lot of freedom to develop yourself, the team and the product. Your personal well-being is very important to them, so they make sure work-life balance is. In my role, Relay42 was able to offer me develop my technical and business skills, while working on some of the largest companies in the Netherlands.

Cons

  • The company is relatively small and therefore a pro-active/entrepreneurial attitude is require (and stimulated by the company). This doesn’t fir everyone. As in every start or scale up, it can be a bit unstructured sometimes.
  • The flipside is that to date Relay42 is only scratching the surface in terms of market penetration having historically been very product focused… as such the go to market engine is not yet fully up and purring. This is probably the largest Pro for the right entrepreneurial candidate though given the company has been growing happily without, and the additional impact this will have.
  • To date the company has only scratched the tip of the iceberg in terms of market penetration… as such go to market machine is not yet fully built out and purring – however given this is being actively addressed this ‘con’ is very much the flipside of the opportunity and so for an entrepreneurially minded candidate probably also the largest ‘pro’ !
  • Communication between teams could sometimes lack a little.
